Intense. that's because our ocean waters are warming. and all of that extra warmth serves as extra fuel for the storms. so what we see in our climate models that look at what could be happening in the future is that as we continue to warm the planet, we're continuing to add fuel to our hurricanes, and wear expect to see more strong hurricanes going forward. we don't expect the frequency of hurricanes to change all that much. so that's a little bit of good news. but we do need to prepare for a future where we're seeing more frequent extreme storms like this. >> so what does a state like califor...
