Leading the way
Social work has always been a calling that attracts those with a passion to help the most vulnerable. Its earliest beginnings in the late 1800s involved volunteers going into New York slums to provide assistance to the abused, mentally ill and marginalized. The profession has changed over the last 100 years, and its value has only increased.
