MEMBERS of the County Wicklow Older People’s Council (OPC) took part in a guided tour of Avondale House to assess the accessibility of the venue and the experience for older people.
They were dancing at the crossroads in The Curracloe Hotel last weekend as the people of Blackwater and beyond came together for a fundraiser which will not only help St Brigid’s GAA get a new pitch but also provided memories which will last a lifetime. Whether some people would rather forget what they saw during ‘Blackwater gets lippy’ remains up for debate, but what can’t be disputed is the almost €13,500 raised towards the development of a new pitch at the club.
