Administrative mix-up resolved. the scanner, when you check in is supposed to be programmed to screen passengers for every flight and tells the gate agent with a red light and buzzer, not a beep, not to board the passenger. that didn't happen, don't know why. that unauthorized passenger had a united taken. a & a and united are part of star alliance. they are the same flight, same plane, code share. there was a united flight departing to tokyo at the same time. it's possible the passenger was confused and the computer didn't catch the error or the gate agent let him on and failed to make the ch...
