iStock About 30 meters from the end of our lane is an old stone bridge that crosses a small river as it enters the harbor. The tidal estuary upstream from the bridge is a great refuge when only a short walk is allowed by my neurodegenerative nemesis, multiple sclerosis (MS). All manner of birdlife can be observed from the solitary bench in the postage-stamp-size park on the north bank.
