Bengaluru, Feb 15: The full bench of the Karnataka high court comprising chief justice Ritu Raj Awasthi and Justices Krishna S Dixit and JM Khazi resumed hearing on writ petitions pertaining to the hijab ban controversy today.
Bengaluru, Feb 14: The full bench of the Karnataka high court comprising chief justice Ritu Raj Awasthi and Justices Krishna S Dixit and JM Khazi heard on writ petitions pertaining to the hijab ban controversy on Monday. It has been adjourned for Tuesday and will begin at 2.30pm. The number of petitions, including a PIL, has swelled to six.
The court also requested the state government to reopen educational institutions
Bengaluru, Feb 11: The Karnataka High Court, in its interim order pending considerations of all petitions related to the Hijab row, has requested the state government to reopen educational institutions and restrained all the students from wearing saffron shawls, scarves, Hijab and any religious flag within the classroom.
