Sue diamond seems very well qualified to represent clients before the Planning Commission. I dont think she has the type of perspective that the city is a in desperate need of at the moment. We dont need legal counsel. The planning apartment has lawyers. The Planning Commission has access to lawyers. But we desperately need is people who really understand the major crisis being faced by low and middle income families, and individuals right now in our city. Promise that everybody would be able to come back to their units. Promises have rung hollow in the past. It wasnt surprising to me that many residents didnt feel wonderful and really safe based on those promises. Now its going to be the law, the law of the city.
