Greening Greenfield and Franklin County Continuing the Political Revolution (FCCPR) continued to emphasize that too many people can’t find high-quality, affordable housing locally during sessions two and three of their nine-session virtual series, “Housing is a Human Right: We Can Make It Happen.”

Freedom Credit Union nets nearly $59K for training
SPRINGFIELD Freedom Credit Union was awarded a $58,800 Workforce Training Fund Program grant from the state Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development that will allow it to train 29 workers by 2023.
“We were thrilled to learn that our grant application was successful,” Freedom Credit Union President Glenn Welch said in a press release. “Ongoing training and learning opportunities allow our staff to increase their expertise and grow in their careers. Not only does this benefit our employees, business and members, but our whole community.”
Freedom Credit Union has branches across Western Massachusetts, including in Greenfield and Turners Falls. ....
