The colourful and eye-catching creature was spotted washed up on Compton Beach yesterday (Tuesday). Caroline Randolf took the photo of it, before warning the nearby surfers of its presence. It looks like a Portuguese man o' war, which can be dangerous even while beached, so the County Press has sent the photo to HM Coastguard for identification.
