COVID-19 Won't Hinder Developmental Stride in Kogi, Says Bello

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has assured citizens that the ongoing developmental strides across the state will be sustained by his administration notwithstanding the much talked about second wave of COVID-19.
Bello disclosed this yesterday in his New Year broadcast to people of the state, maintained that his administration has never and will never allow COVID-19 to be the “soul definer” of affairs in the state.
“As before, we remain determined as a Government not to respond to the highly controversial second wave with mass hysteria. While reiterating that our primary objective is keeping Kogi State coronavirus-free as it is at today, we will continue to respond to developments with reason informed by knowledge. ....

Kogi to reopen schools January 18th

Kogi State Government says it is not planning to shutdown schools beyond January 18, 2020, as the Second Wave of Covid-19 continues in the country. Most schools in the State, had fixed Jan 4th for resumption.
But, the State Governor Yahaya Bello while signing the 2021 budget today announced the new date. The Governor insisted that Kogi is free from the pandemic.
The Federal Government had announced shut down of schools and other public places as a result of the Corona Virus pandemic. Due to the second wave of the virus, some State governments have also announced ban on Public gatherings. ....

KOGI State Governor, Yahaya Bello has assured citizens that the ongoing developmental strides across the state will be sustained by his administration notwithstanding the much talked about second wave of COVID-19.
Bello, who stated this on Friday in his New Year broadcast to people of the state, maintained that his administration has never and will never allow COVID-19 to be the “soul definer” of affairs in the state.
