Well this building is iconic. Its where the laws are made. Its not uncommon for people to come here to make a statement. Usually those folks have a permit. That man came here. He had a gun. According to Capitol Police it was about 1 05 in the afternoon when the man walked up to the public area on the west front of the capitol and shot himself.
