⚾: Hubbart Named ACC Pitcher of the Week

Tallahassee, Fla. – Redshirt sophomore Bryce Hubbart was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week on Monday after striking out a career-high 13 batters against James Madison. This is the first ACC Pitcher of the Week honor for Hubbart. Hubbart, from Windermere, Florida, allowed only two hits and no walks in Saturday’s 13-2 win over the Dukes. He struck out the side in the first, second, and fifth innings and threw only 75 pitches. Hubbart struck out eight of the first nine batters faced. The left-hander’s 13 strikeouts are the most by a Seminole since Conor Grady also recorded 13 against Troy in 2021. Hubbart is the No. 12-rated starting pitcher by D1Baseball and No. 31 on D1’s top draft-eligible players list for 2022. He was also named a second team Preseason All-American by Baseball America and a third team All-American by D1Baseball and Perfect Game.
