In tune with nature: Green burial site planned in Florida
FLORIDA â Sandy Gibsonâs parents died a year apart when he was a boy, and he has spent his entire life visiting their gravesite in his native Toronto. But, Gibsonâs parents were buried in a traditional cemetery, and he said the austere surroundings have made it difficult for him to connect with his memories of them. âFor me, itâs always been a place that you need to go,â he said. âBut, it wasnât how I wanted to feel when I was near my parents. ... Itâs so hard to forget that, because it is their final resting place. Itâs there forever.â
