You can finally go visit another important Southern Arizona attraction again. Kitt Peak Astronomical Observatory is welcoming visitors from all over the world.

Visitors can now book guided weekend tours at the observatory about 55 miles southwest of Tucson, the observatory said.

The road up Kitt Peak is still closed more than year after a wildfire swept through the area, but state transportation officials hope to reopen it by late October.

Telescopes at the facility have resumed data collection, with full power and internet to come soon.
