For the second time since the dawn of the COVID-19 pandemic, Thermo Fisher Scientific in Asheville is adding jobs to meet growing demand for low-temperature freezers. After hiring an additional 147 employees in 2020, the company is now looking to add 200 more employees at its Asheville site. "The need's obviously changed as the world's changed with COVID vaccine requirements, therapies and diagnostics," said Mitch Coyne, VPGM, Controlled Temperature Technologies.
