Falmouth’s Virtual Sea Shanty Festival 2021 is nearly here with a jam-packed evening full of singing, entertainment and an all-round shanty…

The virtual evening will be presented by Betty Stogs, John Warren, and Richard Gates, Falmouth Town Manager, and will take place in the Cornwall Channel Studios. A unanimous decision has been made by the organisers of Falmouth’s International Sea Shanty Festival over this year's event. In a joint statement issued this afternoon, they said that this year's event, due to take place on June 11 to 13 would instead take place over one day only, in virtual room. This will be on Saturday, June 19 from 6pm and available to view live over Facebook and YouTube. Falmouth’s Virtual Community Christmas will be taking place tonight (Friday) with a variety of people and organisations taking part. Organised by the the Falmouth Town Team the event will be broadcast live on Falmouth’s official Facebook page @FalmouthCornwall and shared across other social channels from 6pm.  The evening will be streamed live on air from the Cornwall Channel Studios.
