Northern Nevada and Eastern California: Take One Small Step with KUNR Public Radio and StoryCorps and bring our community together, one conversation at a time.

StoryCorps’ One Small Step, a national effort to bring our country together one conversation at a time, is currently focusing on Richmond, one of three One Small Step Anchor Communities, and will record conversations at the Library of Virginia Oct. 2–6, 2023.

KSUT has partnered with StoryCorps, the national nonprofit dedicated to recording, preserving, and sharing the stories of Americans of all backgrounds and beliefs, as part of StoryCorps’ One Small Step Radio Station Hubs project.

Oklahoma City is one of four communities in which StoryCorps is anchoring One Small Step in 2022 with more opportunities to record, share, and preserve conversations that show the country how Oklahomans can listen to each other — even with those with whom they disagree.

In collaboration with StoryCorps, High Plains Pubilc Radio is taking part in the One Small Step project, pairing up High Plains residents with differing views and bringing them together in conversation. Today, we hear from two Kansas residents originally from India as they discuss their views on politics and religion.
