PETALING JAYA: It could be more expensive to have your car serviced from next year, with the service tax likely seeing an increase from 6% to 8%.

Countrymade Liquor: Barring country made liquor, prices of beer, whisky, vodka, rum and wine are expected to remain largely unchanged. The excise policy, which would come into effect from April 1 of next year, was approved by the state cabinet on Tuesday. While no major change has been suggested, prices of country made liquor (tetra pack and bottle) are expected to go up by Rs 5 as duty has been increased. Excise duty levied on beer and Indian-made foreign liquor has been kept unchanged. License fees for all retailers will go up again by 10%.
