Saved from obscurity, Nancy Savoca's 1993 film 'Household Saints' is back on the big screen
Screening at the Brattle in a new 4K restoration, the wryly funny movie follows an immigrant community in New York's Little Italy from the late 1940s to early 1970s. Over time, customs and superstitions from the old country fall away in favor of a new, uniquely American notion of postwar progress.
