The U.S. Senate confirmed her appointment to the second highest position at the agency on Tuesday by a vote of 52-42. McCabe is the director of IU’s Environmental Resilience Institute — which works to help communities adapt to climate change. She’s also a professor at the IUPUI McKinney School of Law.

Joma Leonardo, 20, was a junior and a Resident Life Coordinator at Eigenmann Hall dorm at IU Bloomington, said Deputy Chief of IU Police Department Bloomington Shannon Bunger. Police do not suspect foul play. Police went to check on Leonardo about 6:40 p.m. after his brother said he hadn't heard from him in a while, Bunger said. When police found him in his dorm, Bunger said, he appeared to have been deceased for some time.
