Around 3000 foreign diplomats and their eligible family members based out of India have sent names for New Delhi's offer for vaccination against COVID. India had offered vaccination using India-manufactured COVID vaccine to diplomats based in the country - both in the national capital Delhi and various consulates across the country. Around 115 missions and 39 international organisations responded to the Indian offer and a final call will be soon taken on when the vaccination starts.

The total number of people who have received the Covid-19 vaccine shots has crossed the 60 lakh mark in the country, the Union Health Ministry announced on Monday, highlighting that India reached the mark in 24 days, the fastest in the world.
It also said that America took 26 days to reach this mark, whereas Britain achieved it in 46 days.

COVID-19 Vaccine Tracker News: Nearly 3 lakh beneficiaries receive coronavirus vaccine in India on January 27
More than 23 lakh people have so far been vaccinated for COVID-19 in India. Of these, over 2.99 lakh people received the vaccine on January 27.

A total of 23,28,779 beneficiaries have so far been vaccinated for COVID-19 through 41,599 sessions held till the evening of January 27, the twelfth day of the immunisation drive, according to a provisional report of the Union Health Ministry.
On January 27, 2,99,299 beneficiaries were vaccinated till 7.00 pm through 5,308 vaccination sessions, the ministry said.
The ministry said 79 percent of beneficiaries vaccinated on Wednesday are from five states -- Karnataka, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
