The privacy labels on the Apple App Store are based on the submission made by developers themselves to Apple.

Cupertino-based giant Apple recently rolled out its data and privacy information labels that show users the data certain apps take from users. Apple's move to show privacy labels on app listings on the App Store was criticised by Facebook publicly, where the social media giant took out newspaper ads, accusing Apple of implementing anti-competitive policies. Now, those very App Store privacy labels show that WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger collect a huge amount of user information and data as compared to similar messaging apps like Signal and Telegram. According to the privacy labels on the App Store, both Facebook-owned messaging platforms collect usage data and location details, among other information.

What Apple's new privacy 'nutrition' labels say about some of the biggest apps

Apple has launched its "mandatory" privacy labels for apps in the App Store, and while what it tells users about apps like Facebook is eye-opening, other big developers seem to think that the disclosure is optional.
With the release of iOS 14.3, Apple has brought out its promised privacy guidance on the App Store. The so-called "nutrition labels" are more prominent than was expected, and Apple is not giving the free ride it seemed to developers who flout the requirement.
The privacy label is still quite buried in an app's listings, though. It comes as a series of large card-like images, but they come after the app's title, new category details, a What's New description, previews or screenshots, a more general app description, and the Ratings & Reviews.

Opinion: Old Post Road & Reef Road Accidents Shed Light on a Deeper Problem

Written by Patrick O'Brien-Sevilla
The following has been submitted by a Fairfield HamletHub follower and is not necessarily the viewpoint of our publication, but it is a thoughtfully presented view and worthy concern...
"As a new resident, I enjoy walking around our town. It allows my husband and me the opportunity to discover local shops, order food from nearby restaurants, and enjoy fresh air. We’ve started to learn the street names in our neighborhood, and we can finally drive around town without a GPS.
However, we have become increasingly more alarmed when walking around our neighborhood – the streets surrounding Oldfield Road. We’ve witnessed drivers speeding, rolling through stop signs, and failing to yield to pedestrians.
