The Minnesota Judicial Branch Sixth Judicial District and the Public Defender s office are holding a virtual warrant resolution event on February 2, 2021 online or at the Damiano Center. These warrant resolution events happen periodically, and are designed to help those people with warrants resolve their cases. The Criminal Justice Community will work together and make their best efforts to resolve cases. If you have an active warrant, you can choose to go the the Daminao Center at 206 West 4th Street in Duluth from 11am-3pm on Tuesday, February 2. Because of COVID-19, they are also offering a virtual option where you can appear through zoom online or by phone. Gretchen Whitmer on Monday announced appointments to the Northern Michigan University Board of Trustees and the Michigan Tech University Board of Trustees as well as the Eastern Michigan University Board of Regents and the boards of trustees of Ferris State, Grand Valley State and Western Michigan universities. Named to the NMU Board of Trustees was Gregory J. Seppanen of Marquette, a retired teacher who taught U.S. history, government, world history and economics in the Marquette Area Public Schools for 24 years. Seppanen has also served as a Marquette County commissioner, supervisor of Chocolay Township and as a member of the U.S. Army Presidential Honor Guard. He remains an active member of both the Marquette County Planning Commission and the Central U.P. Planning and Development Regional Commission. ....
Reach an epidemic proportion and we have to come up with answers. it can t be politicians throwing their hands up in the air. it has to be the mental health community. the criminal justice community, the legal community. politicians working together to somehow answer this plague hitting america right now. we know the oregon district of downtown dayton, ohio, is a popular place for going out. we were talking with anthony reynolds how this is a safe area. police say the same thing. what brings what is in the mind-set of a suspected shooter when they target an area like this? people are lined up outside to get into a club to have a good time. i think that we see most mass shooters, they look for an area where they think there s going to be a lot of what perhaps in nair mind is target visibility where there s a high number of people that are congested in one ....
