New Jersey Herald Volunteers kept track of 14 bald eagle nests in Sussex County in 2020, including three previously unknown and two that are newly active, says the Division of Fish and Wildlife's 2020 Bald Eagle Survey report. Because of its numerous lakes, streams and state and national parks, the county has room for the large raptors to search for food. The report lists 14 identified eagle nests for last year.
