The Curatorial Program for Research issues open call for curators CPR 2024: Who is Being Heard?

There is an age-old notion of the artist’s practice as a solitary one in which creativity is born over the course of long hours in the studio. Barring a nomadic or collaborative practice, there is truth to this romantic vision—artists do often work alone—yet there is a constant companion inherent in the creative process: the studio itself. The International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) has filled this role for over two-thousand artists and curators from more than ninety countries over the last thirty years.

Charlotte Street has announced its 2024 The Guest Curator lecture series featuring Taylor Jasper, Assistant Curator of Visual Arts, Walker Art Center; Jadine Collingwood, Associate Curator, MCA Chicago; and Carlos Quijon, Jr., Curator, Philippine Pavilion at the 2024 Venice Biennale and C-MAP Fellow for Southeast and East Asia, MoMA.

This initiative, a cornerstone of Villa Hegra’s 2023-2024 preopening season, will showcase the collaborative efforts of four distinguished artists from both countries.
