hello, welcome to the programme. the white house says there is no evidence a cyberattack was behind the computer glitch that led to the grounding of every domestic flight this morning that was not already in the air. it caused huge disruption across the united states, with thousands of delays, as the federal aviation authority attempted to reboot it. the problem was discovered within the notice to air missions system. known as notam. it alerts pilots to important safety information that could affect the flight. closed runways, hazards around airfields, air shows, parachute jumps that sort of thing. the faa said flights that were already in the air were able to land as normal. not the same system that tracks aircraft in the sky and keeps them from colliding. but it has never happened before, and so an urgent investigation is under way. now that the system is up - and running our primary focus is to determine that root cause and i have directed the faa to figure out - exactly ....
