Warning for north and west Cumbria as seven flood alerts remain in place
FLOOD alerts, including one for Carlisle, remain in force for north and west Cumbria. The Flood Information Service has seven flood alerts in the area and one flood warning - in the region there are a total of 13 alerts after "persistent" rains. Alerts indicate that "flooding is possible - be prepared" - warnings indicate that "flooding is expected - immediate action required".
