Northeast Community College employees receive COVID-19 vaccine at Norfolk campus clinic

Northeast Community College Health and Wellness Education Instructor Stefanie Mundil (left) receives a COVID-19 vaccine from Carol Kampschnieder, a registered nurse with the Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department on Monday in the College’s Cox Activities Center in Norfolk. Approximately 225 College employees received the one dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine during the two-and-a-half-hour clinic. Mark Murray of Akeley was a 2019 recipient of Audrey s Purple Dream funds. His wife, Donna, applied for help with his medical bills and travel to his oncologist in the Cities for treatment for brain and lung cancer. Before he got sick, spending time in nature observing wildlife was one of his favorite things. (Submitted photo)
While the Audrey’s Purple Dream plunge and fishing tournament that was scheduled for Feb. 13 in Akeley has been cancelled due to COVID-19, area cancer patients and their families still need help. ....
