ALTON A parade for Alton High School’s 2021 graduates is planned for 7 p.m. tonight, Friday, May 21.
The parade was first held last year because COVID-19 precautions prevented traditional graduation events. The Alton School District and Alton Police are planning Friday’s celebration and encouraging community members to make signs and decorate their parked cars as part of the event. ....

A car goes through a light tunnel at the start of Christmas Wonderland, the annual holiday light display put on by The Grandpa Gang in Alton’s Rock Spring Park during the opening night on Friday, Nov. 27. The This year the Grandpa Gang has increased donations to area community organizations following record attendance during the 2020 holiday event, with nearly $65,000 was distributed to 53 organizations.
