DF: I grew up with a lot of art around me at an early age. My grandmother had worked in the Satiricum in Greiz, where the largest collection of copper engravings in the former GDR was kept. Alan Edward Fuchs WILLIAMSBURG Alan Edward Fuchs, 79, professor emeritus at the College of William & Mary, passed away Monday, Dec. 28, 2020, at home after a lengthy illness. Born and raised in New York City, he is survived by his wife of 58 years, Janet Rose Fuchs; sister, Cynthia Fuchs Epstein; beloved children, Daniel Fuchs, and his wife, Debbie, and Karen Block, and her husband, Ben; and five cherished granddaughters, Amanda, Eliza, Lauren, Kate and Caroline.
