Due to stable dry air within the mid and upper levels, mainly sunny skies will continue through the Southern Nevada area until about searchlight. Just to the south, moisture from Tropical Storm newton will push in and allow for cloudy skies within searchlight and possible showers to the laughlin area. Las vegas and north of the city will keep to sunny skies while temperatures begin to climb. Afternoon highs within the city will range between 97 and 102 degrees with mild winds out of the east southeast.
