The government is now likely to move on to framing and rolling out the rules and regulations of the DPDP Bill.
The bill will now be sent to President Droupadi Murmu for her assent following which it will be notified in the central gazette and become a law. It will be Indias first law aimed at protecting the digital rights and privacy of citizens and their personal data.
