Shirin Gibson began her career as an educator in Manatee County in 1996, working as a teacher’s aide at Daughtrey Elementary School. Over the next 24 years, she rose through the ranks to become a teacher, assistant principal, principal and eventually executive director of curriculum and professional learning.
