Support among folks who traditionally are part of his core base. moving into 2020, if i were his team, i would be looking at those numbers. are you optimistic about the economic direction of the country? do you feel better off? shannon: interestingly enough, when they were asked do you feel better off now than a year ago, 71% said either the same or better. that would seem to speak in the president s favor. it s a mixed bag on that. people say they re better off now economically than they were two years ago. it affects people individually and families. they also say they don t like the direction of the country by pretty significant majority. those questions get into, is that the environment in the country? lack of bipartisanship? the issues with that over the past week with a race in this country. those things impact the responses as well. shannon: you should come back so we can solve it. i thought it was a good solution. shannon: dave, mark, katie, thank you. breaking tonigh ....
