Peggy, i can tell you that highway 17 is open in both directions. It has been open all day today. You can see behind me southbound traffic coming towards us, its flowing a little bit faster than northbound traffic. And the other side of that center divider, nothing is happening over there. The mud slide remains. If this is any indication of how things are going to go, it will be a very slow commute come monday. For the First Time Since friday morning, traffic flowed northbound on highway 17. But caltrans says cal osha has suspended work to reopen the remaining lanes, pending its investigation ...
