NEW ORLEANS — A St. Bernard Parish woman claims she was terminated from her employment with Progressive Services after she was sexually harassed by her supervisor.

An inmate who sustained chemical burns and stab wounds during an attack at an Iberville Parish prison while correctional staff stood by and did nothing received $10,000 in damages as a result of his federal lawsuit.

Shawn Briscoe had a rude awakening the morning of Feb. 3, 2018, when he was stabbed and burned during an early morning attack at the Elayn Hunt Correctional Center.
