Rep. Matt Gaetz, a Trump-styled provocateur, appeared politically isolated amid a federal sex-trafficking investigation.

Rep. Matt Gaetz's communications director has left the office of the Florida Republican, saying "it would be best to part ways" amid a federal criminal probe into whether the congressman paid women for sex.

On Friday, Gaetz spokesman Luke Ball resigned, sources say.
