According to the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation’s (DETR) April 2023 economic report, Nevada lost 2,900 jobs over the month. Employment is up 61,600 jobs since April 2022, an annual increase of 4.2 percent. The total employment level in the state is 1,540,300.
In December, Carson City saw an increase of 200 jobs, or 0.7 percent, since November 2020 with the trade, transportation, and utilities sector growing the most by 100 jobs, according to data released Tuesday by the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation.
