WAKC Alumni Look Back, Decades After TV News Left Town
Youtube On February 28, 1996, WAKC-TV was sold and newscasts immediately ceased, ending four decades of serving Summit County viewers. On the 25th anniversary of the end of WAKC, an encore presentation of a staff reunion from 2016 Twenty-five years ago, Akron lost its only local TV newsroom.
