Published on: Apr 6, 2021, 2:47 PM Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records artist Ralo (real name Terrell Davis) was busted with 444 pounds of marijuana on a private plane in 2018 and has been behind bars ever since. But in a new interview with TMZ Live, activist Angelos Weldon explained how a proposed clemency program for the Biden Administration could benefit the incarcerated rapper and eventually spring him from prison. Speaking to TMZ, Weldon revealed the White House reached out to him about a program that would primarily focus on cases with harsh sentences for non-violent marijuana offenses and added, “There are people still in there who are locked up for marijuana are probably the most deserving group of offenders, given that it’s legalized in more than half the country.”
Published on: Apr 1, 2021, 6:57 PM Ralo remains behind bars following an April 2018 arrest on federal drug charges after around 444 pounds of marijuana were discovered on a private jet registered in his name. As the country continues to legalize marijuana from state to state, Gucci Mane‘s artist is hopeful Joe Biden will issue him a pardon and he’s enlisted the help of some major friends to lobby for it. In an Instagram post on Thursday (April 1), Ralo revealed Drake was among the list of people co-signing him for a pardon in legal documents delivered to the President seeking his freedom.
According to documents obtained by XXL on Monday (Dec. 21), which were filed in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia Atlanta Division on Dec. 17, a judge has reversed Ralo's bond pending trial. The judge has also deemed the Georgia rapper, born Terrell Davis, a "danger to the community" after determining that he had been arranging drug deals while behind bars using an Apple Watch. The court documents state, "The United States explained that law enforcement had analyzed an Apple Watch found in Defendant Davis’s cell at the Dayton Detention Center in April 2019 and found photographs of drugs and communication with co-defendants that appeared to include affidavits the co-defendants were willing to supply the Court."
