it was different to see what was going on. i did not get the impression -- for 60 years or so, people had been predicting the eventual demilz. at some point, the country was going to topple. the communist regime would go down. i saw no indications of that. i saw a lot of poverty, a poor country. harsh economic conditions. lack of electricity. you go to a huge building. may be heat in one room where there's a meeting going on. the rest of the rooms, it's cold. you have to wear your coat you. go to schools or the university. i went to the main university. the students are well kressed but all wearing overcoats and they're all -- it's cold in ther there. you drive outside of pyongyang, we were driving through the country side.
