INEC Didn't Learn From 2023 Elections – Nigerian Civil Society Situation Room Says Imo, Kogi, Bayelsa Polls Were 'Huge Disappointment'
The Nigeria Civil Society Situation Room (Situation Room) has condemned the largely reported falsification of result sheets and other electoral irregularities in the Saturday’s governorship election in Bayelsa, Imo and Kogi states. The Situation Room made the condemnation in a statement issued on Monday, saying that Nigerians had expected that the lessons learnt from the 2023 general elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other stakeholders would have been taken to improve the conduct of the off-cycle election.
