The Grant Avenue store, the borough’s first grocer in decades, is open Tuesday through Sunday.
Millvale Market will sell fresh produce, prepared foods, grocery staples, coffee drinks, and more out of a spot on 24 Grant Avenue.
Millvale Mayor Brian Spoales choked up at the soft opening of the Millvale Market recently, demonstrating how critical the market is for elderly and young borough residents. When the market opens in January of 2023, it will be the quintessential corner market at the intersection of Grant and North avenues.
At Millvale Market, residents will have access to fresh produce, prepared foods and other essential items.
The grocery will sell soup, salads, sandwiches and coffee as well as locally sourced fruits and vegetables to improve fresh food security.
