A defiant New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Friday rebuffed calls for his resignation from state lawmakers over allegations he sexually harassed multiple women, declaring he will not bow to “cancel culture.” The governor also said he is being persecuted because he’s a political outsider.
That Cuomo made these obviously absurd claims is not the funniest part. The funniest part is he said it all with a straight face.
“I’m not going to resign,” an indignant Cuomo said Friday during a press conference. “I was not elected by the politicians. I was elected by the people. Part of this is that I am not part of the political club, and you know what? I’m proud of it.” ....
