The state Commonwealth Court has cleared up some of the turmoil surrounding the Erie County clerk of records race in the May 18 primary. The appeals court s president judge on Tuesday issued a ruling that, if upheld on any appeal, will prevent the names of former state Sen. Anthony Buzz Andrezeski, a Democrat, and Chad Hershey, a Republican, from appearing as candidates on the ballot in the clerk of records race. The ruling, from Judge P. Kevin Brobson, reverses Erie County Judge Daniel Brabender s March 22 ruling. Brabender ordered Andrezeski and Hershey s names to appear on the ballot though the two had failed to collect the required number of signatures on their nominating petitions. ....
