In the case of the alert that went out at 11:59 PM on Monday night, most of New York waited for an update on the abducted siblings that were "forcibly" and "violently" taken from the their foster home on Monday evening by two men wearing ski masks according to the Democrat and Chronicle.  The two men took off with the children in a van they stole from the home and authorities believe they continued on with the children in a different vehicle.

Dimitri Cash Jr., 5, and his younger sister Shekeria Cash, 3, were located in Montgomery, Alabama shortly before 6 p.m., said Greece Police Chief Drew Forsythe. The siblings were on the floorboard, under blankets in the backseat of a vehicle after police tracked a rental car there.
The children "are in police custody tonight and are in no further danger," Forsythe said.
The siblings were "forcibly" and "violently" removed from their foster home on English Road around 8:40 p.m. Monday by two masked, unidentified suspects.
Authorities tracked a car rented locally to an address in Montgomery. A woman leaving that residence was apprehended during a vehicle stop, which is when the children were located. Forsythe would not reveal if the police have identified the two men who kidnapped the children. They are not in custody, however.

AMBER Alert children found hidden under blankets inside car, thousands of miles from home

Two New York children were found safe on Wednesday, thousands of miles away from the home they were reportedly taken from.
ABC 13 reports that Shekeria Cash, 3, and Dimitri Cash Jr., 5, who were taken from a foster home in Greece, New York, were found hidden under blankets in the floorboard of a car in Montgomery, Alabama.
“They’re being secreted under a blanket on the floorboard of a vehicle. So what does that say about the people who are responsible for this? And so I can imagine that they were upset,” Greece Police Chief Drew Forsythe.
During their search for the children, authorities learned information about a rented vehicle, which led them to Alabama, where they spotted a woman driving the car. During a routine traffic stop, they pulled the woman over and arrested her. The children were in the car.
