It's Campus Pride Week here at the University of Kentucky. Celebrated nationally in June, Campus Pride Week, hosted by the Office of LGBTQ* Resources (housed in the Office for Student Success), allows students, faculty and staff an opportunity to celebrate pride on campus. While this is an annual event at the university, this year will look a bit different, as the Office of LGBTQ* Resources has hired both a new director and assistant director.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (SAAPM). During this month, people across the United States raise awareness about sexual violence, preventative measures and how to support survivors. The University of Kentucky is dedicated to creating a safer campus community and supporting survivors of sexual violence both on and off campus. The goal of SAAPM is to create opportunities for conversation, connect our community to area resources and to promote a safer and more supportive campus culture.

As part of its commitment to those values, throughout the month of June, the University of Kentucky Office of LGBTQ* Resources, a unit housed in the Office for Student Success, will observe Pride Month.
