Created Equal Film Series Features Discussion of 'Green Book' and 'Freedom Riders' Feb. 12 and Feb. 26

MURFREESBORO– The inaugural Created Equal: TN Legacy Series film screening and discussion will feature the film Green Book, a 2018 biographical drama set in the 1960s, and the documentary Freedom Riders, which chronicled efforts to desegregate public accommodations throughout the South in the 1960s.In partnership with the MTSU Intercultural and Diversity Affairs Center and the Washington Family Foundation, Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Department will host the Black . ....

Black History Month at MTSU celebrates love, health, wellness, relationships

Weather Cancels MLK Events In 'Boro

(MURFREESBORO)  The annual Martin Luther King, Jr. march from Central Magnet School to the Patterson Center has been cancelled due to the icy weather. In addition, the event at MTSU has also been dropped due to the weather.

March Coordinator Shawn Brown told NewsRadio WGNS that they decided to cancel Monday's event because of the icing conditions coupled with temperatures not expected to rise much above freezing.
