Sasol League ready for kickoff 9 April 2021 – The Sasol League season returns this weekend (Saturday and Sunday) with several provinces kicking off after a year of inactivity. However, two provinces will delay their start – and have set a date of later this month, 17th of April and the 30th of April 2021 to resume action. The South African Football Association (SAFA) has received confirmation from clubs that they are ready to get the show on the road. “I can safely confirm that we have been working hard behind the scenes to ensure that everything goes according to plan – but as it goes with events, there will be some glitches, more so now during this period of Covid-19 where a lot has to be done before teams can take to the field,” said Thomas Sadiki, Head of Competitions at SAFA. ....
Wits Ladies looking forward to start of Sasol League 9 April 2021 – She is known to many as Dunga, but her official name is Nthabeleng Modiko, and she is the coach of Wits Ladies FC. Dunga took the reign of the University side at the beginning of March in 2017. She made her name when she used to run up and down at left back for the Sasol-sponsored Banyana Banyana – having made her debut in 2006 and went to be capped 24 times. Dunga hung up her boots after the 2011 All-Africa Games that were hosted by Mozambique. They finished fourth after going down 2-0 to Algeria. ....
