The argument could be made that So Much More is the most popular horse racing in Canada right now.

Standardbred Canada is pleased to announce the finalists for the 2022 O’Brien Awards, honouring Canada’s best in harness racing over the past season.

Saturday (Dec. 10) was a truly happy birthday for trainer Don Beatson as his prized mare So Much More gave the boys a beating and coasted to a 1:50.2 winner in the $34,000 Preferred Handicap Pace at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

Millionaire pacing mare So Much More overcame her outside post assignment and a third quarter threat to win the featured $32,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred Handicap Pace on Friday night (Nov. 18) at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

It was a productive night at the office for driver James MacDonald during Friday’s 10-race card at Woodbine Mohawk Park as he racked up a five-win performance which included a trip to victory lane with the O’Brien Award-winning distaffer, So Much More.
